yo! wahhhh. ytd heard a shocking news. read 3sa's blog for the "details". not much details but yea.. it was what i thought&felt too. haha. very happy for the both of them! everytime i see them.. find it so cute. :)

yupp. today had a really good message by pastor khong. heard half of the sermon in chinese tho, cos i woke up late for post encounter.. and didnt go for the session =( i didnt even hear the alarm. oh my. but ya.. back to the sermon thing. it's about.. winning when you know tt someone is better than you. :) basically ps khong was talking abt the servant's heart, even tho he didnt mention it much.

he talked abt jonathan, saul's son. Saul was the king of Israel, and jonathan was the crown prince. in other words, the king-to-be. yet.. he saw that his best friend, david, had greater potential than him to be the ruler of Israel. and he did all he could to protect his friend's life from the evil schemes of saul (wanting to kill david).

imagine with me, if you were jonathan.. YOU cld be the next ruler of a country. the one who holds the power to make the most important decisions. and you know tt your father has been angry with this particular person who has greater potential to be king than you. and that person happens to be ur good friend.

what wld you have done? protected him.. or choose to ignore the evil plans of ur father and let "nature take its course" (after all, you din do anyth evil abt it), or help ur dad kill him off? I'd admit tt i'd hv.. chosen the 2nd option. =X but ya, jonathan did not. he chose to protect his best friend and even saved his life once. and there's a verse in the bible tt said tt jonathan loved david as much as himself. can you imagine tt? honestly.. tt's like, amazing.

so yupp.. it's lesson abt interest for others and not abt self. its something most of us will find quite difficult to accomplish cos of the environment we are brought up in.. all the competitiveness and selfishness. i dont know why.. but yeah. just feel excited about life all over again! like God jumpstarted my engine once more. x) i guess ps khong has really done so much for the church.. and wht he shares really comes from his heart. and for tt, i applaud him. cos its not easy to share so much with people you dont know alot abt..
